fascinating glimpse of Elizabethan England

I picked up this book because I had read a few of Bishop's regencies which are well done. The Durable Fire, which is set in 16th century England, was an extremely enjoyable read with interesting characters. The conclusion was a bit too quick but overall I highly recommend!
