Previous edition was better.

This one did not have the pictures the last editions had. It's ok, but I would have preferred the other one. Sometimes updates don't really enhance the book.

The Contained Garden

This is a nice book for someone who is trying out container gardening for the first time. It has some great hints and uses pictures and drawings to show you examples. I bought this after having read several from the library - this one inlcuded.

Inspirational Container Gardening

The Contained Garden is a delightful, thorough study of container gardening. It includes wonderful sketches and many artistic photographs. I was most struck by how the book inspired me to think 'outside the box'. A large array of container shapes and sizes are included as possibilities. A full description of container requirements for many, many plants is included. There are many more plants,shrubs and small trees that do well in containers than I ever imagined.
