Great Book

I love all the Hank books, and this is a great one for the Christmas season. These books are hilarious and more important to the young reader, fun to read. I'd also check the rest of the series. Author of "Hobo Finds A Home" editor "Of A Predatory Heart"

I love Hank books!

I highly reccomend the Hank the Cowdog books if you're a dog lover, or if you just enjoy good, clean humor and fun! The booksare written in Hank's perspective, which, I think, makes them funnier than if they weren't written in his persppective. He tries to talk "intelligent," but really he is actually quite, um,well, to be to-the-point... DUMB. And Hank's conversations with Drover are priceless. If you don't have this book, you really should get it. This is one of my personal favorites. My other faves are:The Curse of the Incredible Priceless Corn CobThe Case of the Missing Bird DogIt's a Dog's LifeEvery Dog Has His DayThe Case of the Fiddle Playing FoxThe Phantom in the MirrorThe Case of the Burrowing RobotThe Case of the Raging Rottweiler...And too many more to list!...

Hank is GREAT!

If you're in the mood for humor, just read the Hank the Cowdog books. He thinks he's so smart, but he is not. Drover is probably about just as smart as Hank. I love reading Hank, I've read almost all his books, and own a lot of them. You definitely need to start reading Hank!

Hank the cowdog books

I'm 10 years old and I thoutht it was great. I think that it was hillarious. Especially the part when Hank and Drover trick the coyote brothers in a Ha Ha game.

Very Funny and suspenseful

This is right up there with the best of the Hank books. Very funny, good suspense, nice character development, especially in Drover and Pete. Excellent Hank book. We have heard all the Hank tapes, own most of them, and have listened to them many times. All are very good, here are some of the most excellent ones: The one-eyed Killer Stud Horse The Vampire Cat Swirling Killer Tornado Double-Bumblebee Sting Haystack Kittens Vanishing Fishhook Hooking Bull Of course all of them are wonderful. There is something to laugh out loud about in every tape. Erickson deserves much more recognition than he gets for his exciting and funny tales that always emphasize courage, kindness, and mannerly behaviour. Society places a lot of emphasis on kids reading, but I believe learning to listen quietly is just as important, in these times of short attention spans and overlapping noise. As such, I try to expose my kids to as many suitable audios as possible. We've heard literally hundreds of full-length audios. Erickson's books are meant to be read aloud, and his reading of the Hank series is imcomparable to any other children's audio we've ever listened to--he blows them all away. He takes great pains to develop every character's distinct voice, and there is just nothing like hearing the author's interpretation of his work.
