The born again Christian finds himself a new creature [2 Cor 5:17], bought with a special price [1 Cor 6:20] and with a ticket to heaven [Heb 11:6] in the after-life but strangely, at war in this life [Eph 6:12]. One would imagine that at some point in the Christian walk there is a cease-fire or some peace treaty signed but, not at all. This is a war that is fought to the death and it is not only for new believers but even the seasoned. The Called War, borrowing its name from a tense relationship between two major world powers (Russia and The United States) that lasted for nearly half a century, commonly known as the cold war, explains this state of conflict the Christian finds himself in, from the moment he makes Jesus Christ his Lord and saviour.
