Armed with homemade costumes, utility belts full of insects and considerably more enthusiasm than experience, The Bug Boys set out to protect Rossolington. Their first missions seem simple enough: deal with the school bully and investigate Alex's suspicion that something crooked is happening at the village mine.

But being a hero turns out to be considerably more complicated than it looks in comic books.

The boys soon find themselves tangled up with tiny visitors from another planet, dangerous secrets at the colliery, a family desperately in need of help-and a disaster that could change Rossolington forever.
