Book Overview

Discover the origins of the warrior Clans in this thrilling prequel to Erin Hunter's #1 nationally bestselling Warriors series

The fourth book in the Dawn of the Clans series takes readers back to the earliest days of the Clans, when the cats first settled in the forest and began to forge the warrior code.

The first great battle has ended, and each group has agreed to a truce. But merely keeping the peace may not guarantee their survival. When a deadly disease threatens to strike deep into the heart of both camps, the cats must work together to find the only thing that can save them--the mysterious Blazing Star....

Arrived without its cover jacket 🤬

I collect these books based off cover art, this is the last series with the original artist before they died. This book and the sun trail both arrived without their jacket covers!!!!!!! These should at minimum be a warning if the book is being sold with pieces missing. They return policy wont accept books under $15, so im just SOL. Im disabled and dont have a lot of money, hence buying thrifted to begin with. This is incredibly disappointing.

Very good book for kids ages 8-12

This book is a really good trust involved book with some better parts than others but over all a very good book.

I’m not really sure how to rate this book.

Most of the book was pretty boring, then when it got interesting I found it difficult to get invested in Clear Sky’s redemption/growth arc until like the very end because they butchered the catalyst for his change so freaking badly in the previous book. I liked Star Flower’s character, but I wish they’d taken it further. She wilted at the end, when she really could have stood out if they’d committed more with her. I did like Clear Sky somewhat by the end. It was cool to see him gradually learn from the other cats how to be a good leader and cool it with the paranoia and incredibly fragile pride. I just feel gaslit by the end of the last book so it’s hard to really get into what they’re trying to do with him.
