Growing up in an impoverished neighborhood, enduring years of bullying, suffering consistent ridicule, and being taken advantage of would negatively impact most people, and so it did with Victor Manning. Victor loathed where he grew up, and he disliked some of the people he grew up with because they caused him so much anguish. Although he managed to escape his former neighborhood and circumstances through education and staying out of trouble, his traumatic childhood experiences trapped him in a psychological prison that very few around him knew.

Victor became a successful businessman, but to cope with his misery, he unwittingly developed a unique defense mechanism that would lead him down a path that not even he was aware of.

Victor eventually fell in love, but that love trapped him between two worlds; a world of peace and happiness and a world of mental anguish and strife. The world of a family man and another world he desired for himself. Eventually, he had to choose what he thought was best. He was forced to decide between the two worlds, and the fallout was not what he expected.

The Antipode is a tragic story of bad decisions, misery, love, regret, and the unexpected!
