The Anglican Rosary: Weekly Prayers Year "A"

By Jenny Lynn Estes

What if you could capture the rhythm of the Church year in your daily life?

Every Sunday, the Church gathers around the Word of God proclaimed in Scripture. Yet the readings we hear are not meant for Sunday alone. This book invites you to carry the Word beyond the sanctuary-into your prayers, your work, and your ordinary days.

The Scriptures that unite the Church in praise on Sunday are the perfect companions of meditation through the week-teaching the heart to listen, to yield, and to rest in the steadfast love of God.

Rooted in the Sunday Lectionary of the Book of Common Prayer, this guide helps you let the appointed Scriptures-Old Testament, Psalm, Epistle, Gospel, and collect-become the theme for meditation throughout the week. As you return to the same passages day after day, they move from your mind into your heart, shaping your thoughts, actions, and hopes in Christ.

Each week's readings form a rhythm of grace that aligns private devotion with the Church's common worship. In solitude, you listen to God's voice; in community, you join the Church's united response. Over time, this rhythm draws you into the life of Christ Himself-where the Word you hear becomes the Word you live.
