A Good Starting Point

Includes original sources on terrorism from 1972-2002 and covers a wide number of regions and topics, including Northern Ireland, Munich, and the Mideast. Sources include Bill Clinton's speeches, excerpts from FBI and CIA papers, Library of Congress reports, speeches and testimonials from government officials, and Patty Hearst's own tape recordings. Each source is prefaced by an introductory historical note, and a note on the source itself. Destined to be outdated before it was even published, it is nonetheless a valuable resource because of its broad spectrum and its allowance for fresh analysis of pre-9/11 thought. The lack of material concerning Iraq 2 may not help the user, but it does help make the book a rather interesting artifact. A good starting point for any Reference section.
