My Favorite Book

This book is my favorite book to read every single summer. I picked it up by chance at Target one day and I fell in love. It is such a sweet story (not sappy romance-novel-esque) and full of historical context. I enjoy it and I loved Flame Tree Road as well. Shona Patel has a way that makes me want to sit on Dadamoshai's porch and smell the Jasmine or sit with Layla on her porch in the tea gardens and listen to the birds sing in the damp jungle. It's a story I get lost in often. I actually own two copies. My original and a used one from here that I loan so that if it disappears, I am never without. Read it, you won't be sorry!
