ONE OF THE BEST OF the TALL, DARK, And DANGEROUS

I have recently read alot of Suzanne Brockmann, and I have to say that this book of her Tall, Dark and Dangerous series is the best that I have read so far. Bobby Taylor is a great character and being a redhead myself, Colleen Skelly is whom every women should strive to be. Talk about a backbone and daring. She goes after what she wants. I love Suzanne Brockmann and eagerly await any of her new novels. READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Another well-done installment in the Team Ten Series

Bobby Taylor is a Navy SEAL, and his best friend is his swim buddy, Wes Skelly. As Wes ships out on an assignment, he asks Bobby to go to Boston to look out for his younger sister, Colleen, who is doing stuff that has big brother in overprotective mode. Bobby goes, but is full of reservations because his feelings for Colleen Skelly are far from brotherly. As this is a serial romance novel, you can probably guess where the plot goes from there. The dialogue is snappy and characters are very well drawn. The conversations between Wes and Bobby, as well as the brief appearances of other SEALs from earlier books work very well. My only knock would be that we never learn much about Bobby's background and history. Normally I wouldn't notice this, but in all of the other Team Ten Books the heroes had a history that was explained, so its absense was noted here. There is a good segue to the next book in the series (expected to be Wes' story) at the end. All of the Suz Brockmann fans who have been waiting impatiently for the next installment of her Team Ten books will be pleased with this effort.

another keeper from suz

This book is lighter and less action-driven than most of the other TDD books, but it's a keeper in its own right. It's a can't-put-down page-turner like all the others. I could completely empathize with both Bobby's torment over being torn between his loyalty to his best friend and his ever-growing desire and Colleen's frustration with Bobby's determination to "do the right thing". The dialogue leaps off the page and into your head, and there were many times I laughed out loud. If you're already a fan of Suzanne Brockmann, and especially of the TDD series, you won't be disappointed. If you're unfamiliar with the ongoing series of characters from the previous Navy Seal books, prepare to become obsessed with finding the 9 others! And if you're still not convinced about whether or not to order this book, you should know that I'm a new mom of a three month old baby. I spent 5 hours straight snuggled in bed with this book one afternoon (while the baby was with grandma), and I didn't fall asleep once!

Taylor's Temptation gets an A plus!

Looking for a few hours of fun? You don't need sinfully rich chocolate, smooth whiskey or riveting conversation with an intriguing man. You only need this book! "Taylor's Temptation" is the latest in the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series from Suzanne Brockmann. It tells the story of Chief Petty Officer Bobby Taylor. After an injury during a Navy SEAL mission, Bobby is on R & R and is talked into doing a favor for his best friend and partner since BUD/S training, Wes Skelly. Wes's sister, Colleen is involved in something that could lead her to a foreign country that is overrun with terrorist groups. That is where Bobby comes in. To talk some sense into her. The catch is that he's always considered her his best friend's kid sister - but she's all grown up now and has her eye on Bobby! This book is ENJOYMENT with a capital "E". By page 3 I was grinning like a loon. By page 15 I had a tear in my eye and a warm feeling in my heart as I re-visited some of the other members of Alpha Squad. This book is a great continuation of a powerful series, or can be read and enjoyed on its own. But beware: this book will cause your face to hurt from all the smiling! I've read them all and I believe this one is my absolute favorite! Brava Ms Brockmann! Can't wait for the next installment.

Not with MY sister!! A great story and addition to TDD!!

Suzanne Brockmann has done it. Again! ... with a new spin, of course!... This time around Ms. Brockmann gives us the "Not with my sister!" spin on romance. US Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Robert Taylor is given the dubious duty of playing big brother to his best friend's little sister. Given the orders--"Keep her out of trouble", by fellow SEAL and best friend Wes Skelly, Bobby Taylor does what any good friend would do...he follows the orders. Colleen Skelly may be Wes' "little" sister, but as Bobby knows all too well.... Wes' "younger" sister will keep him hopping and looking for "HELP" in all the wrong (right?) places. Have I mentioned yet that Bobby is secretly attracted to Colleen (BIG time!!), but trying to do the right thing by his best friend--- who by the way has previously warned Bobby to not even think about his baby sister? Have I mentioned that it's not just one sided--that Colleen also is attracted to Bobby (BIG time!) and that without her brother's presence and watchful eye she's brazen enough to let Bobby know? And for our enjoyment she's not about to be subtle for any length of time. Things are about to change for Bobby. Drastically. Bobby Taylor has his hands full ... there's Colleen leading him into Temptation (and what a merry chase it is! Poor Bobby can't run or hide fast enough--as if he REALLY wants TOO!). He's trying to follow his instincts and Wes' orders by changing Colleen's mind about wanting to fly overseas and rescue orphaned children in a war ridden country. There's the angry locals (mob of angry men) who dislike Colleen's charity work and resent the new neighborhood center being in their community. And let's not forget Bobby's biggest challenge--overcoming Wes' voice whispering (shouting?) in his ear warring with his own desire and Colleen's attempts to move on to more then just friends. It's a real pleasure to watch this couple come to terms with their attraction and let their hidden desires for one another be known. For fans of Suzanne Brockmann's TDD (Tall, Dark, Dangerous) series you'll be happy to know that some old friends and new faces are included in Bobby's story (the tenth in her Silhouette Intimate Moments series). Enjoy!
