This collection of works is my first entry into a genre I title "Neo-Noir folklore." "Neo-Noir folklore" is comprised of stories that transmit the unique wisdom of each culture reinterpreted to be more palatable for newer generations. The wisdom hidden in these stories brings back the memories of days home from school and listening to the old folks gather on holidays to speak of how it used to be. I hope to bring the stories of each culture's unique heritage into newer generations. In this way, the fading mists of time lose their grip as stories are dressed in vibrant hues of love. The words carried within in the hearts of Grandmothers deserve no less.
