I loved this book and I don't like to knit!

I loved this book. I felt it was a great love story with laughs through out. I loved the way the story moved, the characters had great chemistry, and Heidi Betts had me laughing out loud. This story had laughs, romance, hot sex scenes and friendship. It was a whole lot of fun that I plan on re-reading again. A must read on my list!

Heidi Betts is a master of wit and sarcasm and Tangled Up in Love is an excellent showcase

Courtesy of CK2S Kwips and Kritiques Dylan Stone and Veronica Chasen are virtual enemies ever since Dylan got the job she wanted at the Cleveland Herald. Now they are columnists for rival newspapers and the challenges fly between them through their columns. Now the latest challenge cast down by Ronnie may be the best one yet... she challenges Dylan to learn to knit. Dylan is a strong believer of the "men can do anything women can do" concept and is not about to let Ronnie win their latest battle, even if it means sucking it up and begging for lessons from Ronnie herself! As knitting needles fly between them, so do verbal ones until they start to realize that what they may really be knitting up is their hearts. But no project is easy and the knots in the way may keep these two reluctant lovebirds from being Tangled Up in Love. I love Heidi Betts and have been reading her since she got her first break several years ago as an historical romance writer. I followed her to Silhouette Desire when she made her move that direction. Now I've followed her again to her new single title contemporary romantic comedy direction with her Chicks with Sticks series. And what a great move that has been as evidenced by Tangled Up in Love! Heidi has taken the "enemies becoming friends" concept and added her own spin of magic to give us a sexy romantic comedy. And I do mean sexy. Once Dylan and Ronnie cave under the pressure building during their private knitting lessons they are steaming up the sheets, and couches, and chairs, and then some. Wowsa, the flame sparking between these two is enough to start a forest fire! Dylan and Ronnie may not be able to get along much in polite society through most of their professional relationship but if there's one place they are in complete agreement, it's the bedroom. However, don't think that is all there is for them. As they spend more time together, albeit reluctantly in the beginning, they come to understand they actually like each other, which leads to a relationship deeper than they ever imagined could develop between them. I love all the knitting anecdotes through Tangled Up in Love, and the analogies between a knitting project and real life. Even the chapter numbering reflects the knitting theme. Ronnie's very best friends are the women from her weekly knitting circle and she can't imagine not having them in her life. Knitting is making a comeback nowadays, making me think about simpler times long past, and providing a sense of solace in a world gone crazy. There's just something comforting about a group of women (and the occasional man or two) taking time out of their busy lives to engage in such a rewarding task in the company of dear friends. Heidi Betts is a master of wit and sarcasm and Tangled Up in Love is an excellent showcase for this particular talent. She also has a knack for creating true to life characters, if a little outlandish sometimes, that are fresh, fun, and exciting. I look forward to the next i

Tangled Up in Love will tickle your funny bone!

For months, Veronica "Ronnie" Chasen and Dylan Stone have engaged in a war of words...and challenges via their respective newspaper columns. Each time, they have risen to each other's dare, even as the stakes have gone up. Tattoos and bungee jumping aren't anything for Ronnie, but in her challenges for him, he's also proven to be a worthy adversary, such as him waxing his legs. Now, Ronnie has goaded Dylan into knitting. Will Dylan rise to the challenge, or finally admit his defeat? Well, what if he shows up at Ronnie's weekly knitting club meeting and asks someone to show him how to knit? And just suppose who that person he asks is... Dylan has to admit Ronnie is attractive. Her icy personality should leave him cold; instead it makes him hotter than the desert sun. He's also not afraid of challenges, and for her latest, he decides to go to the source...with an offer to pay Ronnie to teach him how to knit. Ronnie, who grew up in a family barely hanging by a thread financially, feels compelled to take the money. She figures he won't last a week before giving up, but she'll have the money. Training sessions turn into late nights spent together. Dylan and Ronnie soon learn more about each other....which leads to more than knitting... But can two adversaries have any kind of future together? What will happen at the end of the thirty day challenge? Heidi Betts has penned a humorous, entertaining tale in TANGLED UP IN LOVE that will knock you off your feet. Beneath Ronnie's icy exterior lies an uncertain woman. She doesn't feel financially secure or ready for a relationship. Dylan irks her to no end with his chauvinistic attitude. Women can do as well as any man! Their battle of the sexes will remind readers of classic Hepburn vs. Tracy movies. These exchanges provide for several funny moments, but once they bridge the "getting to know each other" barrier, then their relationship takes a sensual turn. Get out the ice cold drinks, readers, for Ronnie and Dylan burn the pages! Dylan is a guy's guy and hangs out with his buddies, Gage and Zack. It's up to Dylan to save the male face by besting Ronnie, but of course, the guys do have to rib him about knitting. For his part, Dylan does try to make the moves on Ronnie, but what started out as a "can I thaw her icy exterior" became a man wondering how he could keep her forever. Dylan does come across as chauvinistic at first, but he's really a likable guy that readers will adore. The sexy banter between Dylan and Ronnie sizzles and steams the pages. Sprinkled throughout TANGLED UP IN LOVE are hints of a future story for another couple of characters, but I'm not going to give that away. Instead, read and find out whom and then wait (im)patiently for Heidi Betts to weave her magic. A royal battle of the sexes highlights TANGLED UP IN LOVE and makes for a purely enjoyable read that will keep you up late at night to finish. Tangled Up In Love- A Joyfully Recommended Title

For months Dylan Stone and Veronica Chasen have been out to get each other. Ever since Dylan was chosen for a coveted position at a local newspaper, he and Veronica have become rivals of a sort; each trying to outdo the other publicly in their articles. Veronica and Dylan challenge each other to do different antics and what started out as fun, begins to get serious when Veronica teases and challenges Dylan to learn how to knit. Not one to let anything or anyone get in his way, Dylan takes the bait and figures that knitting is like everything he has been challenged to do, easy as pie. He doesn't count on his big hands and the little needles. Vowing to learn, he joins a knitting group for help and comes face to face with his smirking nemesis. Dylan has never seen a more beautiful sight than the smile on Veronica's face as she realizes he is having a hard time. Dylan must come up with a plan to learn how to knit quickly because he is running out of time. And failure is simply not an option. I absolutely adored Tangled Up in Love. Usually not a fan of comedic romances, I found myself laughing out loud more than once at the different challenges Dylan and Veronica came up with in order to make the other give in. My favorite was Veronica's tattoo and Dylan's sojourn into an all male bar; in pink costume. But, as much as I love laughing with Tangled Up in Love, I think I found the love story the most intriguing. Veronica and Dylan both fought their attraction to each other. Neither wanted to give in but had no choice. Hit by the love bug, they had to learn the art of compromise and learn it quickly. Yummy love scenes prevailed and all was good. Known best for her Silhouette Desire releases, Heidi Betts ups the sensuality in Tangled Up in Love, her newest release. Sizzling emotions and scorching repertoire add to the sultriness that involves Dylan and Veronica. I must joyfully recommend Tangled Up in Love. I loved it that much! Tangled Up is Terrific!

Tangled Up In Love has got everything - laugh-out-loud humor, characters you'll fall in love with, and a romance so hot and so meant to be, that I couldn't read fast enough. I loved reading every page of Dylan and Ronnie's story - they're written so well and ring so true, that I felt like I was right there in the story with them. I found them both down to earth, the banter between them fun and completely engaging, and the premise of bitter rivals hopelessly attracted to one another, irresistible. This book is a must read for any romance lover!
