'Taking the Medicine' is a play devoted to issues on a micro and macro level concerning corruption and multi-national corporations, controlling cartels and globalization. The action is centred on a small management committee of a mental health charity, made up from a cross section of British society: an ex-army man, a bohemian upper middle class woman, an older retired businessman, two service users and two new recruits, young men each with a hidden agenda. Focussing on three separate committee meetings, the lives and characters of the committee members are revealed whilst wider issues are brought into the spotlight.....
