Interesting Read

While this is not my usual read, I found myself suddenly emerged into an intricate world full of emotion, power and passion. Both contributing authors Stephanie Vaughan and Lena Austin completely capture the readers attention and share a brief glimpse into the BDSM world and not the one most of us picture at the mention of the acronym. CRUEL TO BE KIND and BLACK WIDOW both handle the reader with delicacy and easy, telling us enough to intrigue but never making those without knowledge feel foolish. If you like a hot, and I do mean hot, read and are into alternative role play this is just the book for you.

Cruel to Be Kind by Stephanie Vaughan- Steve is a regular guy. He has had his share of women, but underlying that, there was something missing. Something Megan can provide. Megan is trying to piece her life back together. She'd gone through a rough breakup, very public, and just wants to heal. But, she never expected to find Steve, and know withjust one look that the man was everything she needed in a strong submissive. Vaughan's provacative voice shines through in this study in what a real D/S relationship is like. She even goes through the procedure of how a relationship should start. The sexual tension is high and the love scenes are smoking. Excellent, descriptive scenes that will leaving you begging for more. Sensual until the end, Cruel to be Kind is well worth the money of this print edition. Lena Austen- Black Widow Calder, a reporter gets roped into doing a story on the local bondage scene in his area. He is just not into that. He plans on writing a clinical piece, do his job, and get out. Butthen he didn't plan on meeting the Black Widow Kelly, and the alpha in him just can't resist her. Austen is a former dominatrix herself and writes a story rich in details of the life. Love scenes are well plotted and descriptive. A definite unbiased view into the lifestyle and the roles that are played by dom and sub. Two women on top, and men who enjoy them there. You can't lose!

A little spice in your reading

Stephanie Vaughan captures the imagination with her highly charged novella. In her world, the reader is offered a glimpse into the intimate nature of the D/S relationship that the average reader may not take into consideration. Believable characters who suck you into their lives and their loves. Well done. I will look for other offerings by this author. Lena Austin shares the realism of the fetish world in her novella. Both the hero and the heroine are compelling and this story's take on their relationship is justifiable and instructive. It leads you to think, I can appreciate the lure. Over all a nice compilation read if you have interest in D/S relationships.

Taking Charge

WOW!!! Can you say HOT!!! The heat that Megan and Steve generate is awesome! Love a guy who is so secure in his masculinity, that he doesn't mind the woman "taking charge"!! LOL. Gotta go! I feel a re-read coming on!!! Nancy C Fecca
