The incisions for the facial structure have particular importance because of presence of various vital important structure present in face and also the face holds an important aesthetical importance. Damage to any nerve or vessels should be avoided with careful planning of the incision placement. The basic rule is to select the most direct approach to the skeleton, therefore the incision as placed very close to the area of surgical interest, retracting any major nerve or vessels in the way.
