While Saad has some tangentially relevant points (regarding policy failures), this book is so alarmist and reductive that it puts podcast bros to shame. This is the rightwing derivation of The Optimist’s Telescope, meaning that it is equally useless, alarmist, and tangential. This book does not raise a single holistic point or solution, instead clinging to the same bogus frameworks of thought and policy that it claims to critique.
