Incredible

Tony Lindsay brought this twisting and turning tale to full circle with such vision that I was able to visualize all that he wrote. This author is incredible and I am definitely a fan.

Powerful Urban Tale

Be prepared for an exciting ride on the wild side, because this is what Street Possession, by Tony Lindsey, will deliver. This is a contemporary, urban, adult read. Supernatural suspense opens the novel. And he meticulously lays out the fights between evil and good, addiction and sobriety, hate and love, yes in that order. The characters are dressed in recognizable clothes, and so close to real that you wonder where he found, and interviewed, these people. The author moves through each situation with record speed and clarity. You may even feel sorry for the prostitutes when you learn their history. Johnny cop moves through the novel as if taking on Homeland Security, yet still trying to make everyone's lot better. You'll both love and worry about him. You'll want to help Johnny kick the butt of his partner/cop, Dixon. And just when you think you've figured out everyone's future, the author takes you back to the beginning-the supernatural. I couldn't stop peeking around the corner of each chapter to see what was coming next. He gave no hints, it was Bam! And you were there. The novel is action packed, full of bazaar characters, and well written. There is a message in Street Possession: better help fight urban crime or all of us will be in danger. Tony Lindsay has established his own genre of novels

STREET POSSESSION is another in the line of gritty, street life urban novels in the vein of his popular CHASIN' IT that demonstrates author Tony Lindsay's true talent for talking the talk, finding the seamiest parts of the south side of Chicago streets, and creating characters who are disparate enough to be wholly recognizable to carry the tangled threads of Lindsay's story while always keeping the reader on course. The story involves hookers, pimps, drug lords, policemen with an edge, and the struggles for territory geographic and physical. It is always rewarding to watch a young author finesse his style by supplementing a 'formula' that really works with forays into literary devices that demonstrate growth with each novel. In STREET POSSESSIONS Lindsay begins with an introduction called "The Birth" that is an eloquently written history of two girls whose love for each other withstands the stones thrown by a non-understanding world. His characters Camile and Doriann find just the right degree of tension regarding intermarriage, same sex love, and the mystery of 'witchcraft', and the violence of rape that sets up the figure ground for the birth of the characters to be involved in the following storyline. This is a fine tool and it adds not only to the suspense of this thriller: it gives evidence of yet another aspect of Lindsay's skills. Let's hope he pursues this method and this quality of writing creativity. If there is a problem with the book, it is with the physical layout of the pages. An editor's eye is sorely absent to catch the missing words or the split paragraphs and condensed insertion words. But get past these technical issues and you're in for another exhilarating spin in the dark and picaresque drama of the streets. Grady Harp, June 05

Not into voo doo but it still kept my attention!!!!

This book was very good,didn't think I would enjoy it but it kept my attention. The hooker, the cop, the crackhead it was just wild, especially when the crackhead died at the kitchen table and could see his body laying there. How he was dead and his soul still wanted a hit off the pipe. Then how he sold his soul to the devil just to come back so he can hit the pipe. Man this book was something. You got to read it!

a thriller

Man this one was too good, the babe was sexy, the cop had issues, the wicked thug was all that, this writer surprised with Chasin' It, he tripped me out with this one!
