A Wonderful Read!

This story somewhat reminded me of Austen's "Pride and Prejudice", where both characters met under certain misunderstanding, but the admiration for each other grew through difficulty and misfortunes; finally, thru twists and turns of the plot, a happy ending. I really enjoyed it (one can't go wrong by following Austen's scenarios), the only criticism was that I found Josephina was a bit missish and irrational towards very end of the book, so was Lord Venables a little bit; It was only by pure good luck and coinstance that they could lived happily ever after. A little shaky there... Nonetheless, it was a well-written book, a big recommendation from me.

Excellent Regency.

Worth a look if you can find it. From the back of the book; Miss Josephina Trafford was quite happy to live a safe distance from the fashionable frenzy of Regency London. Not only was she a young lady of good breeding and even better sense, she was busy enough tyring to save her family estate, curb the extravagance of her flighty mother, and provide for the marriges of her two charming but helpless sisters. But if Josephina would not go near the temptations of the city, they came to her - in the devilishly handsome form of Lord Conniston Venables. Venables was on an unwilling visit to the countryside, but the sight of Josephina made him eager to stay until he conquered her. He could not imagine she could resist a man who knew so well the ways of the world - until Josephina began to teach him how much he had to learn about the ways of a woman's untamed heart.
