DRY. So very DRY.

Books such as this appear to be nothing more than elaborate outlines for an unfinished story which upon completion would have actual depth and range of emotion. Avoid anything written by this author like the plague.

A Great Thanksgiving Story!

It is a great story. You should really read it too. If you are interested in Indians,White Men,and fire sticks you will like this story.

GREAT

This is a great book! Squanto goes to London and stays there for a long time and when he comes back all his friends and family have died. It's not to long or hard either. It's one of the best books I have read in a long time. They don't know what guns are so they call them fire sticks. This is GREAT.

Squanto: A Hero from Beginning to End

We are studying American Indians this year via Sonlight curriculum. This book was on the list of historical fiction readers to accompany our studies and we were thrilled. My 8 year old devoured this chapter book--just couldn't put it down. As soon as he let it go, I took my turn. Although we just read this, we will read it again as a family before Thanksgiving. This story follows Squanto from America to his brave journey to Europe. It reveals the different forms of culture shock he had to endure including his being put on display for folks to see the "real Indian" and to fear him unfoundedly. It shows of his courage, his loyalty to his friends and his ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly. Readers, especially those previously unfamiliar with Squanto's biography, will be shocked when Squanto finally is able to return to his family in America only to be kidnapped immediately by a slave trader and taken away to Spain to be sold. In the end, (you'll have to read it yourself to fill in the details!), it is easy to see why Squanto adopted the New World Pilgrims as friends. This is a must-read.

This is one great book.

If you like indians you should pick this book. It has a lot of interesting things in the book. I liked this book because it has indians and I like indians.
