Terrific Author

OK, first off protocol requires my full disclosure: I worked with Mr. Ryan Jones briefly at a major aerospace company. One day it comes up he had written a couple books, and I was intrigued by the Specters title as I'm a fan of sci-fi, aliens, and the Aurora spy plane. So I bought a copy of this book. And was blown away from the beginning until I finally finished. Awesome story, perfect pacing, descriptive and detailed (but not overly so), and excellent technical accuracy. And TONS of originality ! This is a great story; I've told friends and family about it. Ryan has "the gift" of writing, and I'm betting his career is going to take off someday. When it does, and my autographed copy of Specters is worth millions of dollars, I won't sell it. Stop reading reviews and buy Specters ! Tim

Specters

Prior to reading Specters I anticipated enjoying a good thriller even though I am not a sci fi fan, per se. Consequently, I was quite pleased with the thriller aspect of the book, especially the political ramifications that the story line delivered. Ryan did an excellent job describing how the White House might have to deal with the different agencies, especially the CIA, in dealing with a major crisis. The dialogue between the main characters and the flow of the story definitely kept me intrigued. Having said that, I had a little difficulty getting into the extraterrestial element of the story, mainly because I'm not quite there yet as a believer. But for those of you who are interested in UFO's this book would undoubtedly deliver. Bottom line, Specters is a compelling sci fi thriller and for the conspiracy fans out there, this book is for you. But for those of you who like great straight forward political thrillers I highly recommend Ryan's Jones first book, DataShark.
