Solid Solaris 7 Training Guide

This book was a very solid training guide for preparing me to take the Certification Tests. I will say that some of the questions on the test were not covered in the guide. However that was only a small subset of questions. I recommend this book becuase it fully prepares you for the major parts of the Tests.

Great Book, CD, and Website!

I passed the Solaris 7 Part 2 exam on my first attempt using this book- what more can I say. The ExamGear CD-ROM has the best exam simulator I've seen. The questions on the CD helped me digest the material and I was able to link to the author's website (UnixEd.com) to download more questions for the test engine, which was an added value. Definitely the best value out there for getting certified. Now I'm using the test engine and book's website to study for Solaris 8. Finally, I'm certified, now I just need to find a better job!

This is a much better and revised edition compared to the Solaris 2.6 certification books. It is well organized with good explanation for all the chapters. There are planty of practice questions to prepare for the test. It took me just 2 weeks to pass both the certification tests on the first attempt ofcourse with good scores. I would highly recommend this book for certification.Thanks to Bill Calkins for putting together a great study material.
