Social responsibility has become an increasingly important concept in contemporary society. It also involves recognizing the consequences of personal and collective actions and working toward conditions that promote social well-being, justice, sustainability and human dignity.The idea of social responsibility has evolved considerably over time. Traditional societies emphasized duties toward family, community and social institutions, whereas modern societies have expanded the concept to include responsibilities toward future generations, the natural environment, marginalized populations and the global community.
