The value of this compilation of Bible study aids and outlines for use in preparing messages is confirmed by the sale of earlier editions of this work, which have totalled over 100,000 copies. This selection is the result of many years of Bible study by the editors. In addition to their own material they have drawn on the work of many noted students of the Word. In preparing this material, no attempt was made to prepare an extensive arrangement of subjects or to give detailed explanatory notes in connnection with any subject. The aim was to provide material which would prove suggestive and would awaken further study and research into the depth of the written Word. It is the desire of the compilers that the promised teaching of the Holy Spirit would attend its use; and, through this means, many would be led to a knowledge of our Lord and Savior and others to a deeper and more attentive study of the Word of God.
