Not a biography of Dolly

I couldn't finish this book, nor could half my book club. The author tries to compare her circumstances of poverty to those of Dolly. While she portrays Dolly in a good light, it's hard to get past her whining and bitterness about her own past. Somehow though she was able to go to college, get books published and is a beautiful woman from looking at her picture on back cover. Don't waste your money or your time. Life is too short.
