Intriguing

This book is 2 in one. The first one is "One With the Hunger". The hero is Val, a mysterious, dark, sexy vampire. Shai Jordan is a quite and hardworking woman. She has a group of eccentric girlfriends that thinks she needs a man. And that man is Val. However, there is an evil murderer on the loose. Someone who has his eyes set on Shai and happens to know Val. This mix makes the story interesting and keeps you wanting to turn the page. The sex is hot and steamy. The 2nd story is "Retribution". The hero is Conor, AKA "Mac" and the lead female is Jennifer. Jen is one of Shai's eccentric friends from book 1. Mac and Jen were lovers in the past but for reasons unknown to Mac, Jen dumped him and he has never gotten over it. Events occur that throw Mac and Jen together. They must work through their feelings for one another and at the same time figure out how to defeat the bad guy from book 1. Mac has forgotten most of his past and what happened in his past holds the key to defeating Mikhail. We see Val and Shai again and learn how Val and Jen know each other. We are introduced to new characters that I assume will be in the preceding books. I like this story more than the first. In all both books were easy reads. The only draw back for me was the stories were a little too short and because of that a lot of information seemed left out. More back ground on the characters would have helped. Sometimes I seemed like I missed something. Otherwise, a big bonus is the sex. Lots of hot and steamy sex in both stories
