Little by little, Jun starts to come out of his shell...

...just in time for another battle with the vicious Suigintou. It seems that Suiseiseki's sister, Souseiseki is working for a man bent of murder and Shinku and company must fight her to save her from her master's evil influence. But with Suigintou whispering sweet nothings in her ear, a fight is inevitable... on all sides. This volume of Rozen Maiden serves more to deepen the bonds between the current players through action and drama, but does little to advance the real story. I assume it's purpose is to increase the reader's attachment to the Rozen dolls in order to make their ultimate ends that much more heartbreaking... for, as mentioned in previous volumes, the Alice Game is a game for keeps. The art is standard school, with plenty of cute moments for all involved, though I give particular props for Hinaichigo's sulking and Shinku's behaviors towards a certain dog detective in danger. This definitely deserves a read, but not without the previous volumes as referance as it's a long, often subtle story.
