Every person has a story to tell because each one of us has lived or is living a unique life. One evening, my brother called me and said, "You have to write a book about my friend's life because he has had some interesting experiences in his days!"

Gustaaf Van Dalm is a simple man with kind soul and has the resilience of a 40-year-old, even though he's now 84 years young. Gus is of Dutch descent, lived in Indonesia and Holland, became a prisoner of war in Indonesia, and fulfilled his dream to live in America, all the while having some atrocious as well as funny stories to tell. Although Gus has been deaf in his left ear since he was a year old and grew up to be 5'-4" tall, he continues to enjoy every day as an adventure. He is anxious to share his life history with you.
