Not my favorite

I am not a fan of broken engagement stories. I read romance for the happy endings, and a reboot story just leaves me feeling sad. Not what I want in a romance. If I didn't want to read all of Glenna Finley's books, I would have skipped this one. As I feared, the interaction between Kelsey and Brent just made me mad. Pretty much through the whole book. There were some nice lol moments - mostly related to the animals, including an earless mouse named Vincent. There was an Airedale named Daisy. I am suspicious that Mrs. Witte owned an Airedale or two since they appear in several of her books. This was a travelogue of New Mexico. I really like the way she weaves history and physical details into her stories. All surrounded by intrigue and danger. A nice fast-paced story, but I would've preferred a different kind of romance.
