Ren: The Arrival
In the heart of 1888 Puebla, Mexico, on the eve of Día de los Muertos, Julia and Javier Reyes have everything-successful businesses, a loving home, deep faith-except the one thing they long for most: a child. After years of heartbreak and unanswered prayers, a mysterious young stranger appears at their shop and changes their lives forever.
What begins as an act of kindness becomes a divine miracle. That night, an angel delivers a baby girl into their arms, a child marked by powers they cannot yet understand. They name her Rene-Ren-and flee to a quiet house in Córdoba to raise her in secret. As she grows at an unnatural speed, her gifts awaken: fire that answers her emotions, dreams that reach across death, strength beyond her years, and a presence that draws both light and darkness.
When the family returns to Puebla, Ren steps into a world of friendship, first love, family secrets, and rising spiritual threats. A close bond with the fiery Ana, the arrival of a younger brother, and the discovery of ancient forces tied to her origins pull her deeper into a destiny she never asked for. On the night of her seventeenth birthday, as the veil between worlds thins once more, an old evil claims someone she cares for-and Ren must decide how far she is willing to go to fight what she cannot fully see.
Blending historical detail, Mexican cultural richness, faith, and supernatural suspense, REN: The Arrival is the first book in a series that explores what it means to be chosen, the cost of power, and the strength found in family and friendship when the unseen world collides with the living.
Perfect for readers of young adult historical fantasy, supernatural coming-of-age stories, and tales steeped in Latin American tradition and spiritual warfare.
