Two Very Good Romantic Stories

Ready for Love was inspired by Humphrey Bogart's movie Sabrina, and Debbie Macomber ably took the concept to a fun level. In Ready for Romance, 14-year-old Jessica Kellerman had a mad crush on her next door neighbor, Evan Dryden to the amusement of both families. Years later, with the encouragement of Evan's dad, Jessica applies for a job as legal assistant in Evan's law practice. As everyone assumes Jessica is still in love with Evan, Jessica finds herself attracted to his older brother Damian. How she attempts to get everyone's misconceptions untangled is a real treat. Ready for Marriage finds Evan Dryden still practicing law, confronted by the woman who broke their engagement and his heart three years before. Mary Jo Summerhill's family is in trouble and she knows that Evan is the only one that can help them out. The problem is, what will it take for Evan to take the case? Debbie Macomber has a wonderful way with words; conversations are realistic and the pacing keeps the story on track. Although these stories are fairly short, it is easy to feel the emotional turmoil of the characters. TWO GREAT BOOKS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!!!

Both tales were exceptionally good. I loved each and every character and was unable to set it down once I started reading. Macomber has incredible talent. She gives her characters strong emotions and those emotions are passed onto the reader.

I really liked this book series. I like how the book takes you from one feeling to the next. I can't wait to read more from Debbie Macomber. She is a great writer. I liked how she set up the stories.

LOVED IT!!!

I am definitely not the type of person who reads romance novels, but I was in a store and decided to try this book out. I'm so glad I did! This was an enjoyable book that was difficult to put down. Reading this made me feel the same emotions as the characters. I still have not become the avid romance novel reader, but I will read other books by this author- Debbie Macomber.

What a romance....

This book is almost the best romance I have ever read. This book is natural in the way it mimics an actual reality romance. This book is so compelling. I could not put it down for a second. Every chapter leaves you urging to read the next. I was almost late for a few of my classes being so enthralled in this romance novel.
