Comprehensive Guide to Queensland

Lonely Planet seems to me to be the most thorough of the guide-book publishers. The Guide to Queensland, the state that covers the northeastern part of Australia, is no exception. I think the town plans are particularly good.

Awesome, but ONLY if you're VERY interested about QUEENSLAND.

It's a good regional guide, but you should consider it if you're staying lot of time and doing lot of activities in queensland. The Lonely Planet australia is enought for the 'basic knowledge' of the region. Consider it ONLY if you wanna "research" DEEPLY in queensland.

Good Guide

Obviously purchase this book if you intend to visit Queensland only. I travelled for a month covering, Brisbane, Surfer's Paradise, Cairns, Cow Bay, Daintree, Cooktown, Undara, & Mission Beach. The information on hostels, transportation, things to do and see, and maps were right on. I used this book extensively and highly recommend it.

Great guide, like other LP

LP does a great job, as usual, of detailing the less expensive ways to get around. I find that when they say a place is less-frequented, they are often right, at least for now.

Great guide! Very informative, interesting and fun to read!
