Q-MUMEx LOGBOOK. The Musical Ecosystem: Artificial Intelligence Cannot Copy
This book does not contain the sound. It prepares it.
Like an Opera libretto, it does not replace the stage. It announces it, illuminates it, makes it desirable.
Page after page, composer and researcher Louis Siciliano leads the reader into the vibrant heart of Q- MUMEx, the proprietary quantum musical ecosystem where generation, timbre, space, light, and human gesture converge into a single sonic, perceptual, and performative field.
At the center of the work is a living artistic machine. It is an inhabitable musical environment, directed live by an artist visible from his control cockpit. The book reveals its birth, its genealogy, its construction site, and its possible public form.
Between autobiographical memory, cosmological vision, and technical rigor, the reader encounters Q- NOTES, rhythm conceived as a forest, structural synesthesia, the QUANTUM GENERATOR OF MIDI STRUCTURES, the QUANTUM SYNTH of acoustic species, and COSMIC FX, which turns space into part of the composition.
With over four million analyzed notes and a proprietary engine of 12,400 lines of code, Q- MUMEx presents itself as a verifiable construction site, born from years of research, listening, development, and artistic vision.
This volume speaks to those who seek music in the places where it can still truly happen: festivals, theaters, museums, conservatories, universities, foundations, historical spaces. It speaks to those who desire a new form of Present Music. To those who feel that the age of imitative artificial intelligence calls for works capable of giving back to the audience presence, risk, listening, and wonder.
In an era when music is too often reduced to serial content, Q- MUMEx charts a different course. It aims to make listening a non replicable, inhabitable, living experience.
