An ulcer is described as a breach in the skin or mucous membrane that is often related to severe and/or long-standing pressure from medical or nonmedical devices. The aim of this study was to evaluate knowledge and practice of physical therapists towards positional training in pressure ulcer management and prevention. The overall knowledge and practice towards pressure ulcers and the significance of positioning therapy in preventing pressure ulcers were poor, though a fair share of the study sample had a good experience in hospital care. Poor knowledge might have contributed to the poor practice as evident by the significance between knowledge of pressure ulcers complications and the practice of care-providers.
