Weatherhead, an early pioneer in understanding the relationship between religion and psychology, has written a book to help those of us who worry or are anxious. Both informational and devotional in nature the book is meant to be "taken" as a prescription. So he writes in his introduction: "Frankly, it will not greatly help the reader merely to read the book. One does not just read a prescription. One gets it made up and takes the medicine. A reader who acts on the suggestions that follow will get the greatest benefit. One thing is certain: God understands us and will not cast us off, however nervous and frightened we may be..." Excellent resource! This man deserves to be widely read today.
