A Great Tool!

Since I've journaled my prayers since the late 1970s, I like the idea of not using a spiral notebook for a change! Debbie's divisions in the book and the area for meditations, notes, and prayers are helpful, and the verses at the bottom only remind me of how wonderful God is, and how much He wants to hear my prayers. My own memoir, "Soar Unafraid, Learning to Trust No Matter What" is full of my journal prayer entries. I recommend this resource to journaling your prayers. Prayer journaling can be a help or a hindrance

Prayer journaling can be a help or a hindrance to fully entering into God's presence, including in intercessory prayer and must, itself, be done prayerfully! We are counseled in scriptures (Ps. 42:6, among others) to encourage ourselves and others by remembering what God has done for us in the past, and prayer journaling gives a format for chronicling those deliverances, blessings, answers to prayer... If one wishes to keep a written prayer journal, this one is a quality product. It is hardbound, attractive, and the pages are of good quality paper which accepts gel ink well (the only kind I use in it) without excessive bleed-through (and might not be any at all, except I press pretty hard when I write). The layout is nice, with blank month-by-month (fill in the month) and then blank week-by-week pages (also fill in the week). This format made it possible for me to start it mid-year (in May) since I just recently received it, rather than having to wait for January 1st, for example. There are scripture quotes on every page, which is lovely. The week-by-week format is arranged with rows named for each day of the week (Sunday through Saturday) and twelve columns (God's number of divine government, although I don't know if that is what the author had in mind). My columns are labeled for: Beloved (e.g. "Your revelations and leading, endure to the end"), Kimberly (myself, e.g. "Wisdom as Matriarch"), each of my children and grandchildren, by name (my grandchildren combined in the column with their mother), Ministry (God's calling on my life), Church (where we worship now as well as other servants God lays on my heart, such as a beloved, friend-of-the-bridegroom brother in Texas), Home (e.g. "Reverence to reign"), Family (extended family), Government (USA and Florida, e.g. "President, Wisdom regarding prosecuting the War in Iraq"), and Other (e.g. acreage God said He was going to give me, and a brother from our former church we happened to see in the store ten days ago in apparent deteriorating health). One of the features I enjoy the most is the ample section in the back for "meditations, notes, and prayers." I have used this to record details of apparently prophetic dreams (my own and my grandson's), insights, a word from the Lord that came to me through my son (which made no sense that day, but the very next day I saw clearly why God had given it to me), details of miraculous protection God had given several family members, details of God's awakening me to give me a word or to intercede or just to commune with Him. An important benefit I see in keeping a prayer journal is that it can help provide some structure to one's prayer life, a benefit that can also be a problem. If we are entering God's presence following God's leading in praying His will, then our prayers need to be responsive, and too much structure may work against that. In using this journal, I would recommend not filling out too much in advance. I expect my columns to n

The prayer journal I have been searching for!

This is it! You need not look any further. This is the prayer journal you have been scanning the internet and every bookstore for. It is very user friendly. The structure is awesome. I hope they never stop making these.
