Seven stones. Seven chakras. One dragon too frightened to climb.
Ash is grey. Grey as an old sock, grey as a rainy Tuesday. The mountain is holding every colour he ever had, and it only gives them back to whoever is brave enough to climb up and fetch them.
"I can't," said Ash.
"Then I'll go first," said Poppy.
She says it at a cave as black as the inside of a pocket. At a river too wide to jump. At a furious goat, and at a stone giant asleep right across the path. And every time she says it, a stone appears and another piece of Ash comes back bright - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo.
Then they reach the top, and the top is empty.
Because the seventh colour was never on the mountain.
A watercolour climb from root to crown, with a line your child will start saying before you do - and pages at the back to find all seven energy points on their own body.
Scroll up and climb it with her.
