1970's Urban Lore

I just did some clicking around and am blown away by how big the Super Cops phenomenom was in the mid-1970's. Two books, sure. But there was also a Super Cop comic and a film directed by Gordon Parks, after he did Shaft.

What being in law enforcement should be about

This book shows not only the bad side of police work, the danger, corruption, and politics, but it also shows that some of them out there go against the rules and policies of department and city officials to actually try and make a difference. Batman is a great writer, but above all else a legend among the police. A truly inspirational story.
