Love how Accurate it is for the avid gardener

I assumed it would say something like roses are red. Poppies are orange and so on. Instead it teaches a lot about colors and plants! It talks about planting bulbs seeds, then visiting the garden center for plants. It even has a page with bulbs planted at the proper depths. I really enjoy the book

Great book for toddlers!

Our twin toddlers LOVE this book! So colorful! The big lap-size is perfect for them to sit and flip through it together. I like that the flower names are labeled as well, so when they point at them, we can learn together!

Beautiful Book!

This book is wonderful for any child who likes to be outdoors surrounded by plants and colors. I love the illustrations.

We learned so much about flowers!

My 3-year-old daughter has loved this book since she was little. We have lots of Lois Ehlert's books and love them all. We've learned so many different types of flowers and have since bought this book for two of her little girlfriends and her new baby girl cousin, too. Highly recommended as well as "Eating The Alphabet" by the same author.

A big hit with my toddler

My 1 1/2 year old loves this book. She even calls it the Rainbow book. I bought it because I am really into gardening and she loves flowers. It is a great book to teach colors as well.

Wonderful book

My children have loved this book. With the pictures of the plants there are names next to each one. My kids liked to point and say the names of all of the flowers. Pretty pictures and educational too!

Clever Book!

My 3 year old daughter loves this book! We borrowed it from our local library, read it 2-3 times daily, and had great trauma returning it. It has now been a month since it went back and she is still talking about it and has it on her christmas list. She has impressed the neighbors by asking if they had any morning glories or delphiniums and she was eager to help me plant my bulbs and explore all the flowers in our yard. She has always been a flower lover, but this book really stimulated her interest.
