Death roams the deserts of the southeast and all to the chimeras that surround Oakley's rabbit hole. Where did they come from? The teen jackalope believes they come from the home of the walking incubators, called Eggubators, the machines that kidnapped her siblings. With a reformed Dr. Limpwick, Oakley sets out to seek the scientist responsible. However, the desert is full of mutants that want her meat and bones. It would seem like a short and suicidal mission if they weren't rescued and aided by the Phantom Jackalope, a ghoul hit-rabbit who has a striking resemblance to Oakley's absent father.
