"Orphans of Winter" was hard to put down, I was hooked in chapter one when a winter squall and car crash set the stage for really inventive characters and a story that takes the reader across Canada. The author fuses spirituality, First Nations, ley lines, and the game of hockey into a facinating story. Even though I don't understand the game of hockey, I gained insight on how rooted hockey is in the culture and wanted to learn more.
