I didn't want it to end!

I loved this book! It was so fun and creative. The writing was absolutely amazing.

A Joy to Read

4.5/5 Casey McQuiston is an undeniably talented writer. Most people probably read Red, White, and Royal Blue before reading this book but this was my first time reading her and now I’m especially excited to get to her other novel. The writing and characters were all very humorous and authentic and this novel had one of the best usages of setting I’ve ever read. August was an incredibly compelling main character. It was a little more mystery-like than I expected, but I loved that, the way so many threads throughout the story connected. It was definitely one of my favorite aspects. Along with the overall great writing I also got all the fluffy feelings of a good romance and the found family trope. The only negative thing I found was that I wish August and Jane’s connection had taken just a little longer at the very beginning. The rest of the relationship had great pacing, though.
