A teacher's dream

As an elementary education major, I am always on the lookout for new childrens' books. "Once" is a fabulous new children's book. The characters are cute and loveable (my favorite is Herman the pebble) and each character must learn to deal with various life situations. This book is good for children of all ages. Each story is wonderful. I plan on reading this book to my students for years to come. When is the next one coming out? :)

Back to Basics

It is great to find a 'back to basics' children's book. The stories, the morals, the pictures, all great. It is wonderful to find the chracters are based around, pebbles, twigs, fish, all things children can relate too. I am so happy with my copy of Once

A wonderful collection for bedtime

Great for Baby Sitters

I am a baby sitter and found this book excellent for bedtime readings. The stories are just long enough to relax the children and ready them for sleep. The stories have lovely endings and are easy to read in low light with the large letters. The pictures are just too cute.

At last, a book written with children and parenst in mind

I was so pleased when I first read "Once..." The stories and poems were written perfectly with children and parents in mind. The book is written in a narrative style and therefore makes reading to my child easy. The morals hidden in the stories helps me share important issues with children without the usual lectures. The stories are the right length especially for bedtimes. Perfect to read to younger children, this book is also great for older children to read to their parents or to their younger siblings. I really enjoyed this book. I felt it not only a great story book for children, but also, a useful tool for parents, schools, libraries and even Sunday Schools. Well done....
