Good Read

Haven't read Danielle Steel for years! Loved reading her books again

wonderful

I didn't read the book but I just saw the movie and it was great so I know the book will be even better.

Life is Hard Sometimes

Daphne Fields has just had a terrible accident and is in intensive care. Her loyal friend and secretary is at her side while she is telling the story of Daphne's life. Daphne has had several things happen to her that have been very sad but has always been able to overcome the hurt and go on with her life. She deserves the best life has to offer but somehow she looses the person she loves each time she finds that "once in a lifetime" relationship. The ending to the story is wonderful. I won't spoil it for those who may not have read the 1982 publication by D. Steel.I love her older books more than I do the newer ones. Great love story!

One of her best stories!

This has been one of my favorite Danielle Steel books for a long time. I really enjoy her early works the best, and the characters seem to be more realistic, though their struggles are heartwrenching and devastating. This one is no exception. It's hard enough to lose a spouse or a child, but to lose both... then have to raise a handicapped child that will never meet his father or sister... and to do this all alone... well, all I can say is Danielle Steel takes real life tragedies, and pushes them to find out how much her characters can take... then pushes them a little more. This one will have you crying for the devastating loss, then crying for the heartwarming mother-son relationship. There is so much more to this story, and anyone that has ever read Danielle Steel will know that her stories take you on a roller coaster ride, and make you walk away a different person than the one you were before.

What strength!

It amazes me at the strength DS characters have!! I doubt I could face what they do & live to tell. This is such a great story, gives you inspiration. You will cheer for this woman and wish her happiness...you will be with her on a roller coaster ride. You'll regret when it has to end.
