Liberal Leftists don't want you to read this!

This book describes the logical conclusion to our society if the liberal leftists have their way. To quote the blurb on the back "The bleeding heart lawmakers have taken lethal weapons out of the hands of the law enforcers - and in the worlds largest city criminals are on a perpetual holiday." This plausible look at society gone totally wacko, where a special forces soldier is tried for "war crimes" by a United States court - when he was doing his job as ordered - is almost prophetic. It is NOT high literature, it is reasonably good storytelling with plausible and logical links from technology to society. If Heinlein's "Moon is a Harsh Mistress" is the prophecy of Libertarianism, then "NYPD 2025" is the prophecy of extreme leftist liberalism. I guarantee, if you are a liberal you WILL be offended by this book. Do not expect "High Art", but if you are looking for a good read with lots of action, an entertaining story with great possibilities, and a thought provoking undertone - find this one and read it. At only 185 pages, it is a good romp in speculative science fiction - if you're not a leftist. Final note: Hal Stryker was pseudonym for George H. Smith - famous defender of atheism - who has left this "plane of existence".
