Eight-year-old Crowley has one rule to follow:
Don't open the door for nobody. Not even the mailman.
Then his mother goes to sleep and doesn't wake up.
With the heat shut off, the food disappearing, and four-year-old Saxon growing sicker by the hour, Crowley does the only thing he knows how to do: he takes care of his little sister.
