Simply the best

If you wanna know whats NLP is all about you will find here everything. All the basics ideas definitions and techniqe

A good introduction

If you are going to take the practitioner course then this is a nice way to get your head round it before you start the course. NLP can be jargon riddled at times so this book could familiarise you with some of it. I think the writer explains everything in a consise way. Not exactly bedtime reading but for the basic groundwork understanding of what NLP is all about then it's not a bad start at all.

This is a workbook

Joseph has written other books that are more prose, analogy and examples, but this is the book to buy if preparing for an NLP certification. This workbook has breadth and depth covering the entire NLP body of knowledge.

Fantastic, Lucid, Finally a tangible NLP Book

Joseph Oconnor is brilliant. His writing is clear, he gets across the ideas and basic absolute fundamental essentials of NLP that many other books take too long or use too complex descriptions are simply aren't clear. Oconnor's writing, and complete understanding of NLP for that matter, is so incredibly well communicated. If NLP is the deep structure to become communicated to the reader through the surface structure of the book, Oconnor uses no generalizations, deletions, nor distortions! Finally a clear NLP book that's fairly advanced. 'Disclaimer": I'm "fairly" new -- 3 years into - to NLP and have been trying to connect with the "Fathers" of it -- bandler, grinder, and a bunch of other gurus, and I got bits and pieces from all those works, but oconnor seems to neatly tie it all together with tremendously lucid writing.

NLP Workbook

As an NLP trainer I found this book to be a magnificent read for people new to the art of NLP. Its clarity and simplicity of the techniques, and the exercises are great. Joseph O'Connor has definately used his knowledge of NLP to assist people of all ages. A definate read.
