Great message

Nico and Lola is a wonderful story about a boy learning about kindness as he takes care of a realtive's dog. The story is pretty simple for a young child to understand and the pictures are real which is an added bonus! As a kindergarten teacher I'm always looking for new ways to teach these important lessons to my students, and this book will work perfect! The lessons the little boy learns are great conversation starters about how to be kind to other people. I highly recommend this book to teachers and parents!

A beautiful story about a boy and his dog

My favorite part of the story was when Nico gave Lola a treat and he hid it behind his back - I thought this was really funny. My favorite photo is Nico with all of his dog friends at the end of the book. I like this book because I like dogs! Lola is so cute! This was a fun and easy book to read for me. Madeline: This is a beautiful story about a boy named Nico and a dog named Lola. I like this book because it says stuff about being kind. I also like books about dogs. Nico did a kind thing by agreeing to watch his Aunt Sue's dog while she was away. Nico liked being with Lola. They became good friends. He played with her and he even shared his favorite blanket with her for a nap. My favorite part of the story is when Nico hugged Lola good-bye. He was going to miss her after his Aunt Sue picked-up Lola after her vacation. I really liked all of the pictures a lot. The best picture is of Nico and Lola walking with neighbor friends in the park. I enjoyed reading this book because it was full of nice things and friends. "Nico & Lola" by Meggan Hill and Susan M. Graunke is a good book about how to treat animals in your care. I learned how to show caring and kindness to animals. You should always give your dog water on a warm day after running a lot.

An excellent message with great photos!

I purchased this book for my nephew (age 5) and he loved it and asked to have it read to him again and again. He loves animals, especially dogs, and talked on and on about how he could show kindness to his grandma's dog, Andie, like Nico did with Lola. A must read for kids of all ages!

A lovely book for all

I purchased this book for my 6 year old son who loves dogs and all animals and it is his favorite book. So much so that I am giving the book out to the schools in our neighborhood and it is the perfect birthday gift. The story is wonderful and the photography is stunning. Nico and Lola teaches in many ways. A must read for all ages.

An absolutely lovely story for those young and old...

This book has a remarkable message about the rewards of kindness with beautiful photographs at the turn of every page. I can't get enough of Nico and Lola...both adorable in every way!
