Really really good!

It's been years since I've read a book that received good reviews and was ACTUALLY good! This book wasn't really good it was really great. Niol and what's her face make a really great couple. Ms Eden developed strong, smart mouthed characters who work really well together. Holly is a strong heroine who doesn't just go along with whatever Niol says, an alpha male if there ever was one, just because he's sexy and she wants to sleep with him. This is the only book I've read of the series, and probably will read, as I tend to get stuck on characters that I like and don't want to spoil it by reading another character in the same series. (Black Dagger Brotherhood is the exception). That being said, this book can stand alone....I would love to read the story about Gyth, but I don't want his sexiness to overshadow Niol's. Crazy I know. But that just tells you what an impression Niol makes. To be honest, I don't read romance novels to get wrapped up in the female lead. So I won't go into detail about Holly only to say she was Niol's perfect mate. If I can't feel the main male character then I can't finish the book no matter how much it costs. Ms. Eden makes you feel Niol. His strenghts. His weaknesses. His power and his desires. I love the way she gets you right into his head and takes you through his journey. I enjoyed his toughness and the back and forth between he and Gyth as much as I enjoyed the romance and sex between he and Holly. The flow of the book was natural. I don't like to read stories where one minute the couples are going at it and going at it and the next minute the guy is in love. Niol and Holly's relationship developed in a believable pace, at first it was all about sex and topping off lust. Close proximity and outside stressors had the hot sex morphing into deeper feelings, then love. The lengths each went to protect the other were sweet, if you think disintegrating people and getting shot for your lover is sweet. I don't know, I've got a thing about a guy willing to bleed for a woman. Don't tell my husband.

Wow, lots of heat

I really liked Niol. He was soooo hot. I liked Holly too, she was strong and determined. This was a good story, with lots of suspense and plenty of sizzle. I highly recommend this book.

A suspenseful paranormal romance that you won't be able to put down!!!!

Holly Storm is a reporter for News Flash Five and always goes too far in her investigations for a top story. When we first met her in the second book in this trilogy, Midnight Sins, Holly witnessed the wrath of Niol, a demon of the highest power, level ten. After discovering he was a demon, she's found herself still strangely drawn to his club Paradise Found and goes to Niol for his help when her friend Carl is killed. Niol isn't looking for love and the last thing he wants is to be involved with a human like Holly. But he finds himself attracted to her and can't think of anything else besides getting her in his bed. Niol and Holly team up to find a killer who is targeting demons and murdering them one by one. There seems to be some kind of connection to Holly since Carl was a friend of hers and now she's afraid anyone she's made contact with that may be a demon could end up dead also. With the help of Detective Brooks, Detective Gyth, Dr. Nathalia Smith, Dr. Emily Drake, Cara and Captain McNeal, the characters that readers have come to love in the last two books all come together to solve a serial killer case where demons are the ones being hunted and the humans are the culprits. Will Holly and Niol find love together or will the killer get his hands on Niol and take out the biggest demon in town? Midnight's Master is the third and final book in the Midnight Trilogy starring different Others such as shifters, charmers, demons, witches, and succubae. Niol was a character in both of the previous books and clearly stood out as the star. Now he gets the honor of front stage in Midnight's Master and we finally get a closer look at the level ten demon. This was my favorite story out of the three since all of the characters that I loved are together in this book. The suspense was exciting and Holly really shined in her role as Niol's love interest. There are plenty of surprises in this book that will keep you reading long into the night. The romance is extra steamy and Niol is a fabulous unconventional hero who you can't help but root for. I would strongly recommend for readers to read this trilogy in order and if possible, one after another so details are not forgotten from the previous book. While each book in this trilogy can be read as a stand alone story, characters from a previous book show up in the following and it can lead to spoilers if you haven't read them in order. I adore Cynthia Eden's books and their combination of genres such as romance, erotica, paranormal, and mystery. I read Midnight's Master all in one sitting and was captivated from the first page to the last. Overall, this was a fantastic conclusion to a great trilogy and I look forward to reading Eden's story in the Belong to the Night anthology due out September 2009.

Love Cynthia Eden books

This is the 3rd in the midnight trilogy. I really enjoy reading anything from Cynthia Eden. Out of the 3 I think I like this one the best and then Hotter after Midnight and finally Midnight Sins just because of Niol Lapen. He is bad you know what and everyone is scared of him but he really is a good guy and he cares. Cynthia Eden did a good job on this series it is just a shame that its finish, I would of liked a couple more. IF you never read any of her books before YOU should give her a try. I honestly think you would not be disappointed.

WARNING, once you try this book you will have to read the rest of the series! Noil is dark and sex

Midnight Master by Cynthia Eden Paranormal Romance- June 30th. 2009 4 ½-5 stars Cynthia Eden's Midnight Master is a book not to be missed! Her books are guaranteed to keep your interest because her characters are: strong, likeable and exciting. As she continues her Midnight series we are introduced to new players and learn intriguing details concerning the Others. A world filled with: demons, shifters and vampires that co-exist with humans. Although it is part of a series, Midnight Master can be easily read alone. If anything, reading this book will make you rush to read the prior books in the series! There is whole different world where demons, vampire and shifters mask their true natures. These Others have enormous power and hide themselves from humans even as they live among them. Since finding out there about the Others, Holly's life has become more exciting but also more dangerous. These supernaturals may be stronger than her but that isn't going to stop her from finding the truth and reporting it. When one of her demon contacts is murdered, Holly is determined to find justice. She hunts down Noil, a level 10 demon with powers she can't begin to imagine. Although she needs his help to track down the killer she is troubled by her attraction to the dark and sexy demon. He is temptation itself. When the murderer targets Holly, she only deepens her investigation and learns some hard truths about herself. Noil's demon powers are something he tries to hide. His abilities are destructive. When his last lover died he unleashed his powers and the sight wasn't pretty. He doesn't regret his actions but holds them and his emotions on a tight leash. When Holly tries to enlist his aid Noil tries to ignore her even if she haunts his dreams. He has no business being with anyone, much less with a fragile human. But Holly has a mind of her own and if Noil won't help her, she will have to do it herself. And Noil finds he can't let that happen. I always look forward to reading any book by Cynthia Eden and Midnight Master was no exception. Her books are always fresh and exhilarating. Her confident writing style flows so easily I hardly realize it before I am almost done. I especially enjoyed Holly's character. Although she realizes being a human is a disadvantage among the Others she still pursues the truth. She is an admirable crusader that I found a perfect foil for Noil. Noil is mysterious and mesmerizing but he needs Holly's `light.' I love how he becomes protective and caring with Holly. In addition to the great characters, I also found this story an engaging read because Cynthia Eden's explores the demon world and she reveals secrets as well as introduces new characters. I can't wait to see how these new turns of events may change future storylines!! I highly recommend Midnight Master. But WARNING, once you try it I know you will have to get your hands on the rest of series. As a suggestion, if you are a
