I'm Addicted

This book was the best nighttime reading. Eden creates a dark, sexy world that I must know more about.

Didn't want the story to end...

This is a new author for me and I wasn't sure what to expect. Wow...I loved it. It has a great, unusual premise of a doctor who can "see" the "others" of the world. I really liked her interactions with her patients...lots of humor in that. The relationship with the detective who turns out to be a wolf shifter is very well explained. I really didn't want the book to end, I was enjoying it that much. I do agree with another reader, though, that the title of the book doesn't really have much to do with the story line. A great read and I'm going to check out this author's other books.

Hotter at any time of day

This book absolutely gripped me. I loved it start to finish and couldn't put it down. I thought the concept of a "monster doctor" was especially cool and though I realize this is romance, I'd love to see more books featuring this character. She seemed definitely like a strong enough character to drive a series. The shifter in the book is H-O-T. YUM! This book does not disappoint!

dark yet amusing police procedural romantic fantasy

She will work with Detective Colin Gyth, who makes her lust for him, but the psychiatrist to the Monster species knows never trust a shifter with your heart, soul or body. Soon more creatures are killed even and they begin to meet powerful demons, out of control shifters, and an apparent human with special powers. As they get closer to solving the serial killing case, alpha Colin lets the beast out that he has controlled as much as possible to keep his soulmate safe from the Night Butcher who looks forward to tasting Emily's terror. However, in spite of her impudent rejections that she does not want anything to do with his only natural shape shifting organ, his desire for her has taken charge of him. This dark yet amusing police procedural romantic fantasy is fast-paced and filled with non stop action. However it is the cast that makes this a superb thriller as nasty demons, disreputable shapeshifters, and other paranormal species prove anything is possible under the sun, and a fabulous abnormal psychiatrist who keeps the whodunit and romance focused. The best Paranormal I read this year!

HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT by Cynthia Eden is a paranormal romance, one like the reader has never read before. Emily, a psychologist for 'Others', those of Vampires, Succubus, and other supernaturals. She also has the ability to read minds as well as distinguish between the different 'Others' with her talents. Upon being approached by Colin, who she sensed was a shifter, an 'Other' that she refrains from due to their dangers. As Colin is a detective, he brings Emily to a scene of crimes as she becomes involved in assisting to determine who is killing others which brings Emily and Colin to work together to solve the killings There will be a race for their lives and their love, that has scenes that are so captivating. Colin and Emily too have an instant reaction to one another that in intense with sexual tension as well as the growing love that shows throughout the story. Full with different scenes that some make you chuckle, like when Emily is with her 'Other' clients, make you shiver when they both are fighting for their lives and each other, and sighing when their love grows through the story and their coming together being intense with tension and exhilaration. Definitely a keeper, this book won't be staying long on the shelf for a re-read. HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT is one that you've never read anything like it before! Totally unique with a writing voice that reads this story like a movie unfolding. The reader will be on the edge of their seats awaiting what will happen next because there's no time to pause when reading HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT. HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT is the most unique and creative read in paranormal romance this year.
